    Former President Donald Trump’s political operatives are putting together a plan that would give him unprecedented influence over the Federal Reserve, including a plan that could make him an “acting” central bank board member, according to a Wall Street Journal report. The plans, which the Journal report described as highly secretive, are part of a 10-page document that suggests Trump — if elected — would be consulted on interest rate decisions. We pay $1Trillion a year to the Fed in interest on the debt. A Group independent of the US Government. The big review should be why we even need a Fed. Take the same group of "Fed Governors" and put them in a group reporting to Treasury. No interest on the debt.
For one I agree, FED are acting for Biden anyway unofficially through bribes and insider information, so let's make it official at least, the President should have a say in how the economy is run, and given that he is a billionaire, don't mind that happening.

To be fair the FED lost all credibility for becoming too politicized. The FED should be neutral and unfazed by politics.
From this report it's clear that the financial market is not completely free as the media portray.maybe it will be free to me if lender n borrowers re setting up interest rate.not these criminals that re out there.

This is the reason why most people don't make money trading. They always fight the trend and the Fed. And the Fed sets the trend. People complain that inflation is too high and when the Fed steps in to fight inflation, they complain that interest rates are too high. I guess most people love to complain.
Wealthier people benefit from inflation. In contrast, the working class bears the cost.
It's no surprise Trump will take this position. He always seems to make people belive he has their best interest at heart. Why?
