Here's how much NZ household living costs are rising
The rate of inflation might be easing, but pressure is still increasing for households, new data shows. Stats NZ data shows average household living costs lifted 7.4% in the 12 months to September, after a 7.2% increase in the 12 months to June. Stats NZ consumer prices manager James Mitchell said the household living costs measure included things like interest rates, which weren’t picked up by consumer price index inflation (CPI) data.
