    The pair just hit an air pocket of sorts, falling from 150.70 to 149.85 before keeping around 150.40 levels currently. It doesn't look or smell like intervention, especially since traders have been cautious in pushing the pair higher since the break of 150.00 earlier in the day. The gains are picking up in the past hour and it would make more sense for Tokyo to intervene at 150.00 if they wanted to instead of doing it now. It seems like perhaps there was a run of stops rather than anything from Japanese officials.

Going long yen is a stupid trade at present because the fundamentals are weighed so heavily against it. The cost of keeping margin positions maintained is extortionate.
Being that the BOJ has stated heavily against a rising UJ i would strongly advise not longing this. I you cant afford to hold the short find another pair

Just a piece of advice, but if a move like that is stopping you out, then you are probably over exposed.

It never does. Do they even have the money to sustain it? They do it to force those holding buys to sell. But if they don't sell price isn't going down anytime soon.

Happens all the time...mostly the turning point is 70-80%, then people get into opposite positions and those will rise.
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.
Simply these Japanese and their pair should be banned from the forex world

Anyone buying yen at the moment is a speculator... until negative rates are lifted, Yen is toilet paper as a currency.
UJ Will adjust back down to the 148/9 area for JPY IRD anyway

Clearly MM has started baking it in already which would explain the rush to hit the 150 and then adjust down with other majors adjusting in line as well....This is done most years...so seasonal!

So happy one sane person comented, good job, yes it is, in addition, we look at strict down to 144- 142, all carry will be scalped brutally and for this regardless USD strong or not, will be another reason.
There will be not152 or 155 as many suggest, I believe JPY is going 142 within 1 to 3 days then ranging till we see 137 and 132, from there will be open market again.
Do not goepolitics here, do not trust no chart - the mega carry trade ranging for ages will be scrapped brutally, believe me or not, time will show.
