What I was thinking (speculating) is that a military deal must also be part of this. I suspect Ukraine has been sold down the river. I can't imagine Putin agreeing to a straight 1:1 swap while their primary rival continues to deliver HIMARS to their primary enemy combatant.

Even on purely economic value Griner plays in a sport worth peanuts, and subsidized by the men's counterpart, whine oh so freaking smart and wily Biden gave up a top merchant of death dealing in numbers much higher.
