  • At least two dead after Russian missiles land in NATO state Poland on Ukraine border

    Two people have been killed in Poland after two stray rockets landed near the border with Ukraine. It has not yet been confirmed if the rockets landed in the NATO state as a result of Russia's mass bombardment of Ukrainian cities earlier today, which saw over 100 rockets launched. Poland's Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, has convened the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs "as a matter of urgency", government spokesman Piotr Müller confirmed, with local news sites claiming this is likely the result of the explosions. I really don’t think NATO wants to escalate this situation. For NATO is one thing clear - Russian will eventually lose this war and its integrity without direct NATO involvement.
However Poland might respond to this event without waiting for NATO to do something and if this happens Poland will not stop on the Ukraine-Russia boarder. Poland will stop in Moscow.

Poland will consult the situation with NATO and ask for activating article 4. If article 4 gets activated, Poland can be given a mandate (if NATO decides so) to respond to this event. The event itself is alone a reason for activating article 5. However of NATO decides so, Poland will the one to decide if this is serious enough reason to go militarily in Ukraine and ask NATO to activate article 5 in later stages of this development.
Poland has extremely heavy weaponized and well trained army. NATO will intensify the military aids to Ukraine and Poland + Ukraine will be the end of the war and the end of Russia.

If the missiles have been fired from a jet fighter which is almost sure they were as it is certain that the jet was low flying near the Polish border, there is not enough time for any air defense system to react and intercept the missiles or the jet.

That said, I am sure this is done not in purpose and is a result of miscalculation/ bad preparations etc. But that does not soften the crime done by Russia. They will have to deal with harsh consequences.
