Greater Contribution To World Peace? Sounds good, but only a dogma will not make any change. You need to support your words with parallel actions. So far your actions and your words go in different directions.

Planing to use force to reunite with Taiwan and avoiding to condemn Putin’s war in Ukraine do not look very much like a “Great Contribution To World Peace”

China: Use your position to pressure west to negotiate in Ukraine

Germany: Did you see what they did to our pipeline, we really have no say anymore...

China, not a good look for you when you keep up with the drumbeat of invading Taiwan.

If Your neighbor invades Thailand completely unprovoked, annexes 20% of your territory and then just wants you to negotiate peace, what will you do then?
Will you just tell them "Okay. Be my guest. Take my land and we will be good friends from now on..... Come back after some years and take more if you want".... ?

I don't think so. I think you will fight until the last aggressor's soldier is out of your country. And don't tell me the opposite because I know it's not true.

In my Armchair 2cent opinion..
I would know when to fold'em so to speak,
Reinforce my defenses with western weapons etc, not have thousands upon thousands of my young countrymen die in a protracted battles with no air support, not throw Europe and other countries into economic misfortune, all the while while playing with nuclear consequences.

The cost:
Losing 20% as you say and Donbas people that closely identify with russia in the first place...And a bloody nose.

Nobody would look down on Ukraine because they are obviously a huge underdog.

This would make the people of the world even more sympathetic for UA imo

Russia has air and bombardment superiority for days...Its not an equal fight unfortunately. Right now they are smashing UA electric infrastructure which will indirectly and directly affect the lives of ordinary people still living in major cities.

Sometimes you have to know what is winnable and what is not. Live to fight another day when stronger, Or just live to have some semblance of a normal life. If Russia keeps being aggressive after honest negotiation, then they would lose face to rest of world as being completely untrustworthy. If they are having this much difficulty playing conventionally in UA, the worries of Russia going on a wave of conquests seems farfetched

This is my humble civilian opinion.

Now if the BORG came to assimilate the earth then yes we would try to fight until the last, so to speak lol

If Russia is allowed to peace negotiate and keep what they stole from Ukraine, they will come back for more after some years. You don’t know their mentality and you have no idea what Russia is. I am pretty familiar with this evil system as well as I am pretty familiar with the Ukrainian spirit and culture and I can tell you - there will be no peace negotiations before the last Russian is out of Ukraine and before Putin is removed from the presidency.

The only reason why Putin wants to negotiate is because he knows he is losing this war and he wants to keep what he already stole so that he doesn’t lose face. If he was winning, he would be just running over Ukraine and nobody in kremlin would be talking about negotiations.
