    Chinese officials are debating whether to reduce the amount of time people coming into the country must spend in mandatory quarantine, according to people familiar with the discussions, as the country’s Covid Zero policy leaves it increasingly isolated from the rest of the world. Bureaucrats are looking at cutting the quarantine period to two days in a hotel and then five days at home, said the people, asking not to be identified as the discussions are private. The markets are totally irrational because of:

China’s economy is in quite bad shape.
Upcoming midterms elections in USA.
Political crisis in Italy.
Political and economical crisis in U.K.
The war in Ukraine.
Iran’s revolution.
Building tensions between Turkey and Syria.
Tensions between Turkey and Hellas.

Despite somewhat hawkish RBA, Australian Dollar is still bearish and AUDUSD may decline to 0.605x - 0.615x.

I think we need at least one more week to 10 days before we can see the market finding a direction for a long term trend. The long awaited breakout might be upwards.

thats true but looking at how the price has move this year i think majority of it is priced in for now. i dont think any "good news" has been priced though

That could well be the scenario. I am not willing to make any predictions as I may be wrong like anyone else.
One thing come to mind when I look at H4 timeframe (see the chart below). There is a small bullish divergence. If the price penetrates the trend, make a retest and returns up again then we may have a divergence confirmation and a bullish breakout.

If the price fails to make a sustained penetration, it will resume the downtrend and will head to around 0.6100

I tend to fully agree.
following the chart above, 0.6320 is about the highest the price can go before it hits the trend line. From now on, sustained penetrating the trend line will initiate significant move up. Failing to do so, will se a fall to around 0.6100.

The price penetrated the bearish trend line. It is expected to retest it after which may return upwards.
However penetrating downwards under the trend line could lead to resuming the bearish trend down to around 0.6100.
If this H4 candle closes above the trend line it will confirm the bullish divergence mentioned with the previously posted chart. As said this could initiate a significant move upwards.

So here is the outcome:
The price returned inside the bearish D1 channel and below the H4 bearish trend line. The bullish RSI and MACD divergences remains unconfirmed for now. If the day candle closes inside the D1 bearish channel would mean the downfall will resume.
