Don’t expect anything better from Slovakia and Hungary. They are still somewhere deep in the totalitarian communist fog. The brainwashing they’ve been through is incredible and it will keep poisoning the region for generations to come.

You are just happy that you can sell gas and oil to EU for better price , but I remember that in 1999 and 2003 you said nothing against the war

West is going to get forced to make decision as to how far this all goes.
Another escalation as Russian missiles flew over Moldova air space.
When borders are no longer respected then all out War is coming to eastern Europe.
The path forward should include deescalation.
Unfortunately to do that requires a functioning brain sitting in that Oval office.
Talking tough is one thing, dealing with all the Death and destruction which comes with Talk is another.

add; Russia wants a Land Buffer as there is no nuclear use treaty in effect any longer.
Talks at establishing new Treaty would go a long way at this time.
US drags its heels as neocons are wary of any precedent being set not including China.
Time marches on and so does all out War move closer.

Truly a very stupid person when defending the Russian invasion of Ukraine even if it is only a sentence... The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a futile work carried out by Putin... If the war continues then in the end World War 3 will most likely happen... . .. then the suffering for mankind in the world is getting worse ....
Today you loudly defended Putin's brutality.... When World War 3 really happens you will be silent and shed tears... that there will be no more meaning of pride, pleasure, price, wealth, money, etc.
It's natural that Ukraine struggles to defend its territory, sovereignty, dignity and nation from the occupation by Putin/Russian colonial state (history proves that Russia loves to colonize Ukraine).
What is Putin's pride in militarily invading Ukraine, Ukraine on paper is very weak militarily compared to the Russian military

I don't care if you think your magic sentence of having some part of your family in some part of Ukraine makes you the gospel or not. Land has been stolen from a sovereign power. I don't look on this simplistically but I do have a memory of a cringey televised meeting in February where Putin asked a clearly terrified FSB Head what his attitude was and he fluffed up his lines by saying he was in favour of it becoming part of Russia!

even if Ukraine is a corrupt country, then it's not Putin/Russia's business....Ukrainian people should speak out against ......not Putin/Russia....Ukraine is Ukraine....Russia is Russia...Ukraine not Russia .... Russia not Ukraine .... both are independent, sovereign and dignified countries, should respect each other in all fields ...

Donbas, Luhanks is just a trick by Putin for the international community as an excuse to attack Ukraine.... why is there Kherson and other regions now.... Putin has gone mad ........ Better Ukraine blows up all of its nuclear reactors right now to kill all Russian soldiers... although they will die too

SunOfBeach - We have Russian family and we've heard it all. It's just 'games', it will be 'denazified' and they'll leave. Zelensky is a coke head. Zelensky is an alcoholic. Zelensky isn't even in Ukraine. He doesn't dress like a President. People don't speak to him like he's a President. The Russian speakers are oppressed. Kyiv was 'always ours'. Ukraine was always ours. The Ukrainians deserve it.
I've heard your one too but it doesn't feature strongly. I wonder whether the death toll justifies it. It was a Soviet President that decreed this right? And it was a Russian President that signed the Budapest Memorandum respecting and vowing protection for the Ukrainian borders wasn't it? Back to my favourite - the Ukrainians deserve it.

@SoB..
IMHO you are deliberately publishing false news and misinformation here.
The published picture is pixelated low res and the symbol that APPEARS to be a Swastika.. is from a zoom in of a poorly compressed image. I dont have time to waste on this shit.. but happily one ofour guys had seen this and checked it out. and guess what he came up with..
1. The high res image of the bracelet doesn't have a swastika on it, just nested loops.
2 The arsehole journalist who posted this on Twitter ,where you picked it up, when trapped into admitting it was a False News smear ..When asked why he posted it knowing it to be false.. Tweeted:
"Coz it’s an interesting picture. This is social media. If you would prefer to see no content on here, close Twitter"

Whats your excuse for peddling this distracting trivia here while we are trying to work?

nobody is defending Putin. We just need to understand that this is not war between Russina and UA but Russia and the USA. The rest of western coutnries are just blindly obeying anything that is requested by the USA the rest of the word see the hypocrisy of this actions (China, Inda, Brasil etc...). West did nothing in the similar situation when the USA attacked Irak (2003) or Juhoslavia(99) without OSN mandate, but historical hatred against the Russia is all well known in aglo-saxson nations, thus all the support to UA regime. This is not to defend Putin , but to see perspective to avoid furhter escalation and stat discussion between Rusia and UA(The USa)

I'm not defending all sorts of foreign policy that made no sense over the years BUT the USA was not attempting to annex Iraq and actually in the case of Jugoslavia it helped to minimise ethnic cleansing. It's saved Muslim lives in the Balkans too - something many Muslims have had a very difficult problem in acknowledging. Not exactly a bloody annexation either!

I think we need to reach the nuclear war faster, then we will stop choosing sides...

"The capital is under Russian terrorists' attack!" Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said in describing strikes on the city center.
Terrorism against terrorism...???

"However, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said this is only the beginning of the response, saying according to a state media translation:"

Ukraine left USSR with the premise that it was going to keep a neutral status and NEVER join any miliatry alliances. In 2008, it delivered anti-aircraft systems to Georgia, in the middle of the Russian operation in August !

Plus, Google this one --> "2008 Ukraine NATO" and tell me what you think.

Last but not least, I can tell you've never actually read the memorandum and that you're missing the simple but crucial fact that neither the Russian Duma nor the Ukrainian Rada ever ratified this goddamn memorandum !

P.S I nearly forgot this one. According to the USSR constitution, if the Ukrainian SSR was to leave USSR (as it did), it was supposed to be AFTER a referendum (btw lookup the referendum of 1991 and it's results lol) AND a consecutive referendum was to be held in Crimea alone, so that Crimea could decide it's own fate....

Was there a separate referendum in Crimea ? No.

Lmao it's all nice and easy when you don't dive deep into the details of history but life ain't that simple.

Read Argosgate above. Ukraine the corrupt in the eyes of the West suddenly become victims of wicked Putin. Ukraine is now a battle ground between Russia and the West where Ukraine is steadily reduced to rubble by a Russia that has more resources and weapons and time. Russia suffers no attacks on its territory, nor does the West. The chessboard for all fighting, destruction of property and loss of life happens on Ukrainian territory. Now Russia has struck back vigorously after an attack on it's bridge - one doubts if the Ukraine can match such retalliation or if the West would dare to assist in aiding such an increase in firepower. Diplomacy would be the order of the day

I live in one of the most peaceful countries in the world, but we also have corruption and nazies. They are everywhere all around the world. What the foken difference does this make anyway since Norway is a democracy and isn’t threatening anyone with anything whatsoever. This does not give right to anyone to attack and destroy Norway completely and totally unprovoked. This is exactly what Russia did to Ukraine - completely unprovoked attack, occupation, destruction and genocide.

But your country isn't a chessboard for feuding countries/ideologies fighting for supremacy using your nation as a battle ground and your population as targets whilst their territories ( east and West) are undamaged

Exactly and this should make you know that if Russia attacks Norway, USA and NATO will not let Russia win and occupy Norway which means Norway and allies will fight back all the way to the end until there is no more Russians on the Norwegian territory - just the way Ukraine fights. After all Russia is the occupier and the aggressor. What do you expect?! Do you expect Ukraine to sit and watch and say “Welcome russia and take anything you wants from us. God bless you and please never stop destroying us and our lives”???

There is no place for discussion here. Russians have to go out of Ukraine. Putler has no business in Ukraine. That should be clear to anyone and anything else would be just stupid to discuss.

Yes why not. The only thing Ukraine needs is to rewrite the history and say that Russia is controlled by nazists, Russia has no right to exist, has no culture, no language and it belongs to Ukraine.

I have never read so much crap. I'll have a real conversation with you all day long about hyprocrisy on two sides but don't spout that shite at me in expectation that I'll accept it. "Premise" - got a legal document for that? One moment you want it all signed and another you feel strongly about premises. It's 2022 and Ukraine is not part of a military alliance. It might be soon though along with other countries that had no interest in it either - Finland and Sweden. Sent weapons to Georgia? That's a strange argument to use to point to another example of where Russia invaded a country and stole territory whilst compiling an argument that Russia has been wronged! F me! Perhaps Ukraine didn't like the writing it saw on the wall when Georgia's territory was taken.
The Russian Duma not signing the Budapest Memorandum held up as some clever badge of honour? Your President signed it - it's accepted as ratified and signed by the four signatories. Ukraine needed a referendum to leave the non existing Soviet Union? Is that a joke? Actually it did have one and you didn't like the result so 25 years later you started talking about Nazi's as an excuse to invade a country. How ironic that the country that goes on and on about the great victory has used some proper Nazi excuses for its invasion. It's like the Sudentenland land all over again. We went in to save our people! They were oppressed. God almighty, even the Ukrainian's we've blown up needed saving from themselves because they would all have been transgender by the end of the year.
There is zero benefit in a conversation unless it is honest - I think you've been trotting out your '''''' up excuses for so long that you genuinely believe them.

From reuters 2018,

March 20 2018 "Ukraine’s neo-Nazi problem"
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-c...-idUSKBN1GV2TY
"Many of the National Militia's members come from the Azov movement, one of the 30-odd privately-funded “volunteer battalions” that, in the early days of the war, helped the regular army to defend Ukrainian territory against Russia's separatist proxies. Although Azov uses Nazi-era symbolism and recruits neo-Nazis into its ranks, a recent article in Foreign Affairs downplayed any risks the group might pose, pointing out that, like other volunteer militias, Azov has been “reined in” through its integration into Ukraine’s armed forces. While it’s true that private militias no longer rule the battlefront, it’s the home front that Kiev needs to worry about now."

Every country has an element of this but Moscow is the only city I lived in where a work memo went round the office recommending that all us foreigners went straight home on 20th April (Hitler's birthday). It was weird and ironic then, and no less so now. Pots calling kettles black.

@Forex Factory, don't you see the Russians are taking territory from your forum just the way they take territory from Ukraine sneaking around and breaking rules with no consequences? Don't you fucking see it?!?!. I am sure you do yet you sit back, watch and allow them to pollute your forum with this pro-Russian crap breaking all the rules that you've set up in CoC.

How long we have to watch and witness this bullshit going on here? Don't you people own respect for humanity? Don't you ever get bad taste on your mouth reading this anti human propaganda and do nothing to prevent it from spreading around?

Shame on you people. Rally shame on you.
