Calls to the Financial institution of England saying some British pension funds had been struggling to fulfill margin calls started on Monday. By Wednesday they had been getting extra pressing and coordinated. Wild gyrations in monetary markets in response to a authorities “mini-budget” on Sept. 23 meant that swathes of Britain’s pension system had been in danger, elevating widespread issues concerning the nation’s monetary stability.
