Yes they are tactically planned and that’s because Erdogan is very clever to utilize every situation and get the best out of it for himself and his agenda. History shows us that nothing lasts forever. Whereas the USA is considered "strong" let's not forget China is catching up with the USA, if not already passing, in economic and technological terms. In addition Russia is now more reliant on Chinese trade whereas in the recent past China was considered subservient to Russia.
And the UK once had an "empire" whereas now it is a bit player in world affairs and considered America's "poodle."

I was going to take issue with you ... but I see many others already did that.

There is one thing that you should remember about this 'war' in the Ukraine and that is that we ordinary people will not know the truth until it no longer matters.

Putin's strategy was to have Kiev respect the Minsk2 agreement. France and Germany's obligation was to make sure that Kiev acted on this agreement. If everybody had respected their word and acted on it, Lugansk and Donetsk would still be part of Ukraine, war would've been avoided and Nordstream 2 would probably be certified as we speak. All other assumptions are pure fantasy. The collective West had another (hidden) agenda and it's backfiring on them. We should never forget that NS2 was a German project, not a Russian one, and that it took a lot of effort on the side of Merkel to convince Putin to go along with it. Not the other way around. In fact, I remember all too well how in the past years the "West" kept accusing Putin of desperately wanting to sell more gas to Europe, to make more money. Putin is now showing them that he is not dependent on Europe's money and that he can pack his bag and sell his energy elsewhere. if Ukraine wants to become a great military power in the world, from the start they did not release the nuclear weapons they have on them to Russia.........it's just Putin's propaganda...... on the contrary Russia is a threat to the world.
