In the meanwhile far too much blood has been spilled to ever reconcile Russian speaking separatist areas back into what was once Ukraine.

Ukraine is partitioned along ethnic lines. No way will it get put back whole unless Ukraine military dominates Russian. That is not going to happen.

Putin will consolodate his land corridor to Crimea for Russia, a long sought goal. NATO expansionism handed that to him.

People here used to trade, give trading advice and interpret news as it related to trading decisions. That was up to a couple of years ago. Now a small minority is extremely angry and most people don't talk about trading.

I think the real reason is the news no longer affects the charts in a more or less predictable way like it used to. Now stuff happens and the markets react in a completely unpredictable way, or don't react at all.
