Scholz: "Sudden stop to Russian energy would mean EU recession"

Germany wants to end the condition of dependence on Russia in terms of energy in the long term, "but doing it overnight means, for our country and all of Europe, plunging into a recession". The German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, told the Bundestag. “Hundreds of thousands of jobs would be in jeopardy. The whole industry would be on the brink, "he added. Scholz therefore follows the principle that the backlash of sanctions "must not hit European states harder than (sanctions) hit the Russian leadership."

Definitely no need to take years here for us in UK, there are plenty of alternative already. Quite a number of Brits actually believed in the methane energy spilled by our tory government day in day out. Problem solved! Am sure the rest of EU ain't at all jealous about our alternative energy

Happy trading.

It may well take time but don't underestimate the Germans when they have resolve and an objective. In the UK the current situation has been somewhat of a happy happenstance decided by geography, capitalism and an environmental mood rather than a focused effort and an energy policy based on self-sufficiency or a long-term plan. At least Putin has provided new impetus on that front.

Putin already have shown to the world his true colors, time for the world no to depend on Russia's supply anymore. I believe that no matter how hard it is in the coming months, eventually countries of the world who relies too much on Russia can finally break free from dependency and find other alternatives. It's about time...

I hope the next leader of Russia is a peace loving person, not a mad man and war freak like Putin!
Scalping is my favorite game
