For Russian President Vladimir Putin the search is on for ways of saving face. Ukraine's President Zelensky has already shown remarkable skill as a diplomat, and he's clearly willing to say and do whatever is acceptable to himself and his people in order to get Russia off his country's back.

As things stand today, Ukraine - having beaten off so many Russian attacks and made Putin's forces look feeble and ineffective - should be able to do that. Unless Putin's armies can capture Kyiv and much more of Ukraine's territory, then Ukraine will survive as a national entity, just as Finland did in 1940.

Losing Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine would be a bitter, illegal and wholly unjust loss. But Vladimir Putin would have to start using far more serious weapons even than he has already, if he's to come out on top. As things stand, in the third week of fighting, no-one can seriously doubt who the real winner in this war will be.

If people want economic growth and low unemployment, they elect a party, and that new government cuts the interest rates. That way more loans are given, more money circulates, economy grows, unemployment falls, inflation increases. Just like what FED did since the start of the pandemic.

When people are fed up with the inflation, FED starts to hike rates, fewer loans due to high interest, money saved in the bank account because government pays interest, economic growth halts and contracts, inflation goes down.

So basically the state owns the central bank because they need to fulfill the economic needs and demands of their nation. This is called "monetary policy"

Tax and fines are another tools to support or contract the economy, which is called "fiscal policy". Raise the taxes and contract the economy, or lower them to support the economic growth.

Fiscal policy is not as effective as the monetary policy though. Fiscal policy indirectly affects the economy, monetary policy does that very directly by setting the strength of the currency.

I can understand your concern and worries about the education of these politicians and all. I can understand that you are criticising them because they are slow to react.

However, that doesn't mean Rothchilds or other families own the central banks. These are two very different things.

Yes I know the Govt nominates the Fed chair and sets the mandate of maximum employment and price stability, (goals of monetary policy), but it does not control what the bank actually does to achieve those goals.
To remain independent from potential political pressures is central to how it is structured.

If we feel the Fed chair does the Governments bidding, then we can feel the Fed is controlled by the state.

However, looking at the Fed website, it makes it clear the board is accountable to the senate.
The Senate delegates authority to the Fed to set monetary policy each year.

The Fed controls state money supply and so in turn, turns over profits from this granted authority to the Govt after expenses and dividends have been paid to its private stock holders.
It's described as a hybrid private/public entity.

My understanding is it was done in secret. The banking elite met together in secret on Jekyll Island even using different names. They took advantage of most of the senate being away for Christmas holidays to get the Fed reserve system passed through the senate.

Kurdish people were systematically persecuted.
