  • Cost of living: Warning UK faces biggest income squeeze in nearly 50 years

    From bbc.co.uk

War in Ukraine will push up energy prices and see UK families squeezed even further, a think tank has warned. The Resolution Foundation forecasts that a typical household's income will fall by about £1,000 this year once the effect of inflation is accounted for. That would be the biggest real-terms fall in incomes since the mid-1970s, it added. A government spokesperson said it recognised the pressures households are facing. Many families were already expecting their monthly spend to go up when the energy price cap jumps in April, and National Insurance contributions rise. But in a new report, the Resolution ... It turns out UK is a sick economy addicted to ponzi, central bank supported, finance. Just like most other countries worldwide.

Please let the recession happen. Let the toxic assets show themselves and be weeded out. It's the only way we can acquire the natural immunity we need to step forwards as a civilized society.

Political leaders please start to understand that modern society is a product of a stochastic process that started about 3.5 billion years ago. Your meddling is making us all weak.

Most naive comment I've ever seen, allowing toxic assets to blow up in this environment means instant armageddon, the complete house of cards will collapse before your eyes, you'll be living in a tent the rest of your life.

Now, anybody with a brain will understand that a inflation hell is coming, this Russia thing is pumping up energy and food prices, so get your hands on real stuff. Gold/Crude/food etc seem to be at high prices already, but what is high when the inflation flood gates are open. This is going to change everything and probably very fast.

The Dollar is and will be the strongest of fiat, all western countries are going to fiscally compensate the loss of purchasing power as a result of inflation. At the same time CB's will have their hands tight. Euro's, pounds etc stay away from these fiat time bombs. Fasten your seatbelt, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Right back at you, albeit not quite as full of hyperbole. The timings of shit hitting fan will be all be from exogenous factors.... that's the point. The fragility of the system is 100% the result of politicians and central banks.

Fact is... we can't handle inflation/war/pandemics in modern society like we could 100 years ago. Why? Because of the fragilistas that run our socialist system, won't let a little bit of healthy chaos play out as nature intended.

You can put em up on my land. There will also be potatoes, "wheed" and other vegetables. Firewoods in the forest. So no need for Russian import.

And I recently was very busy day and night due to buildup a bunker under the floor of my living room to further strengthen underground shelter for my family.
