Former Deutsche Bank traders seek to dismiss CFTC spoofing charges
After failing to resolve their differences with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), former Deutsche Bank traders James Vorley and Cedric Chanu have now moved to dismiss the spoofing case the regulator has brought against them. On November 8, 2021, the defendants filed motions to dismiss with the Illinois Northern District Court. Let’s recall that the CFTC case against James Vorley and Cedric Chanu was launched in January 2018.
