  • Nigeria Devalues Naira on Migration to Single Exchange Rate

    Nigeria’s central bank devalued the naira by 7.6% against the dollar as authorities in Africa’s biggest oil producer migrate toward a single exchange-rate system for the local currency. The Abuja-based Central Bank of Nigeria replaced the fixed rate of 379 naira to a dollar used for official transactions with the nafex or the I&E exchange rate of 410.25 naira per dollar, according to data on its website on Tuesday. Without knowing much about Nigeria, that kind of trade seems OK to me. Really. Vertical integration is not in itself economically optimal.

Clueless people, a non productive economy, feeding his citizens with abject unemployment and poverty in Nigeria and still devalued its currency. Selfish interest

Naira is really not the problem here cause these people that determine the value of it is the same people that stand the chance to gain the most from it not it's citizen or non political parties and people living in this corrupt currently in diaspora country. In case you're not aware Nigeria has the highest participant in crypto currency market with 33%, that's 1/3 of the market. Why? You'll say it's because of profit and gains well every investment garnered gain if not loss but the motive behind this motion is trust and I tell you that's my safe haven or 33% of Nigerians safe haven
