  • Russia says it will keep forces near Ukraine, touts possible 'measures'

    From reuters.com

The Kremlin said on Wednesday that Russia would keep military forces near its border with Ukraine for as long as it saw fit and a high-ranking Moscow security official added it could take “measures” if necessary. This is just another way to totally ruin the already exhausted Russian economy - by forcing them to spend more and more money on the military. Ronald Reagan did exactly the same during his presidential time and it’s a proven method. It’s really surprising to me that Russian bites on this instead of “investing” more time and strategy developing on Cuba, Venezuela and try to nag and force USA to focus on its own territory instead of expanding NATO.
Anyway that’s not an easy task for a country economically struggling to control its own territory.

Like any dictatorship, Russia needs to create narrative of “enemies surrounding us”.. “everyone get ready to defend mother Russia” such a waste. So much potential and all for naught.
