What a chaotic!
It really took you all long time.
Trump is responsible for all that. He is not acting like a president, but like a spoiled selfish child. He should be put in jail for misusing his position and power to encourage people to violence. There is no hope for this person. He has totally lost his mind. He destroyed much of USA as we know it and not only that. He probably totally destroyed the business and political future of all his family and the people who blindly supported him.

What a failure this man is. He has not actually succeed in anything he attempt to do. He wasted $500K (not sure about the number, could be a 1000 times more) which he inherited from his father trying to run unsuccessful businesses. He created enormous debts around himself in attempt to become a successful businessman- instead of that his debts got bigger and bigger. He became a POTUS in a spectacular and quite fishy way and that proved to be a total disaster as well.

Although the great 'american dream' died long ago starting with the Vietnam war, Nixon and 'reagonomics,' what we witnessed in Washington yesterday may well turn out to be the start of the break up of the U.s as we have known it. Truth is the demographics are against the trump base republicans (probably 35% of americans,) and the republicans as a whole will not win another election without the archaic electoral college, as Biden's 7m popular vote advantage showed. But there is no chance of changing the system to the popular vote as any change to the constitution requires a 2/3rds senate majority so no chance as it would effectively be like turkeys voting for Xmas re republicans. So the breakdown in civil reasonable politics which has been hastened by trump (it had already begun, really since the republicans went after Bill Clinton in the way they did,) will continue with more bitter division and gridlock unless one party has control of both the executive and legislature (and preferably judiciary also.) When you look back at the civil war perhaps Lincoln shouldn't have fought it and left the confederacy with a separate country in the south, and a more liberal 'United states' in the north, as you can trace it all back to there - america's great open wound and achilles heel - race.

Yes they are totally meaningless and all the distraction that’s been made and being made, is just not making any sense. It looks like all his supporters have lost their mind and are going for an organized suicide. That’s insane and unseen. The US Congress has certified Joe Biden as the next president of the United States

Can we move on quietly now.. get back to work, and and plan our investment and trading strategies around the reality of a Biden presidency and a Democrat congress and hope that Biden can recover some o the damage that the last administration has done to Brand USA and loss of international confidence in America as leader of the free world, in the last 4 years?

The GOP finds itself in a terrible bind now all of it's own spineless making. The best thing they could do for their long term survival now is 'grow a pair' and invoke the 25th but they will likely not do that because they are scared to alienate the 'base' that Trump has tapped into. It is a base whose ideological home is actually not the old GOP pre '92 as we knew it, but they are the closest, - so when a charlatan like Trump comes along and is allowed to hijack a party down on it's luck, and build on the increasingly right wing leanings of that party, the result is what we have seen - a lurch to effective authoritarianism, disdain for democracy and facts, outright lies, and incitement to violence leading to an effective coup attempt.

I think the GOP should be smashed into 1000 pieces - they deserve it.
