So Boris is already willing to give away two-thirds of UK fish but the EU wants 75 percent.

This treachery is unacceptable.

I think the reality of the situation is more like the UK want to keep 60% of the EU catch where they previously might have kept around 30% under the Common Fisheries Policy. That's my understanding and hence the rejection. The figure being mentioned (35%) relates to the non-pelagic catch.

Ridiculous this fight over fisheries. some 0.10% GNP. This is not what the fight is about. It is of course about other things. I think everybody agrees upon that UK has all the right and sovereignity to decide upon its own matters after Brexit. Let so be. But, that will be without free access to the common market as it used to have. EU is far more important for UK than the other way around. Close the discussion now!
