  • Pound Sterling Set to Go Higher against Euro and Dollar Monday as EU and UK Opt to Keep Talking

    From poundsterlinglive.com

A slightly positive tone to EU-UK post-Brexit negotiations on Sunday mean the market is likely to send the British Pound higher on Sunday evening, when foreign exchange markets in Asia open for the week. “Despite the exhaustion after almost a year of negotiations, despite the fact that deadlines have been missed over and over we think it is responsible at this point to go the extra mile," said EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a statement released on behalf of her and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Sunday 11:45 GMT. The statement came following a talk between von der Leyen and Johnson, which von ... (full story)

The same old, the same old.
Why should it go up and why should it go down? Just look at your chart or simply stay away. These people are crazy and they make the market crazy, but that’s how the good ones make money.

On the positive side, due to this shitty situation, there is movement in GU which allow us to trade in December. Usually, forex starts dying out in December as we approach Christmas, but maybe not this year.

Boris will let the clock run down until 31st Dec.

He doesn't want to be blamed for walking away first. The EU don't want to be cast as the bad cop for walking away either.

Letting the clock run down, both sides will be able to blame each other.

The hardline brexiteers will never let him concede anything more.

If there was a deal to be done, it would have been done by now. We are leaving with no deal...Boris is just playing parlour games.

If Boris concedes and a deal gets done, the hardline backbenchers will crucify him and he will be finished.

If we don't leave by 31st Dec and there is an extension, the hardline backbenchers will crucify him again.

If we leave WITHOUT a deal, UK busineses will crucify him.

All roads lead to the termination of Bojo's career as PM. He is toast

We have already run out of time to get the deal approved by pariliament and ratified by EU before the deadline expires.

13 working days left...Parliament and EU can't wipe their arses in 13 days let alone speed this thing through in that timescale

EU is in a difficult position. If they seem even remotely close to being reasonable, Britain won't be the only one leaving, and they know that.

Well done clockwork71 for seeing the bigger picture.

The EU top council now have to worry about HOW are they going to keep their house in good order. (read as, law-abiding).

FYI to anyone who missed the simple fact : The UK HAS ALREADY LEFT the EU.

For some, being IN was a great experience. For others it was very bad.

Example: Travel around the coast of the UK and visit the fishing ports, what remains of them. Looks like the French are starting to moan about fishing, having financially gained a lot over many years at the expense of the UK fishing industry and associated industries. mmmm.

I don't know if any of you have experience of handing in your notice to an employer, it can be sad to leave a good place. Then there is the other time when you don't give a shit what they think. Your happy whatever the future brings and are prepared to wortk hard.

Does anyone know if there is any truth in the rumour that if you work in the EU Comission entity in Brussels for a certain number of years that you employment automatically becomes 'job for life'. If true, that is a serious piss take against the general population of Europe.

" The UK HAS ALREADY LEFT the EU" No not for EU. For EU UK must be hold to the agreement of paying the divorce bill 41Bil Sterling + 2 Bil for every late since the last debate 2 yrs ago, that is mainly the reason they want to bring UK to court on not hold what it has already agreed. Pay first then you go even you go to hell, or you go to court
