  • Pound Sterling Set for an Explosive Monday Session vs. Euro and Dollar

    From poundsterlinglive.com

Pound Sterling is in for a potentially explosive session on Monday owing to a Sunday deadline for EU-UK Brexit talks. If talks have not yielded progress by Sunday, the two sides have agreed to end them and pursue a 'no deal' Brexit. The Pound is expected by analysts to fall sharply under such a scenario. The market has rapidly raised the odds of a 'no deal' outcome over the course of the previous week, with a number of institutional analysts now saying such an outcome is their base-case expectation, whereas just last week it was hard to find anyone who would have suggested anything but a 'skinny' free trade deal was ... My 2 cents on brexit; I personally hope there is no deal, just because I know that EU is a Liability

I dont think a deal is good for UK, and the market knows this... Im expecting there will be a relief rally on GU, just because its such a relief that this crap is over...

The current deal is one that no sane nation in the world would sign there is only one reason for it though it is fear that Britain will be successful outside the union, they put fear in the way of profit as they make a jaw dropping 100 Billion Financial services and Goods trade surplus. The EU would sacrifice the money and a stable relationship over fear. It is basically admitting the project has failed.

One point the media hasnt picked up on is that Merkel has overruled the rule of law criteria for Poland and Hungary during stimulus talks to show European unity. This highlights that the EU is happy to bend laws when it suits them. It is underreported and hasnt been given the forensic examination it deserves.

The management of the EU is a endless complex and rolling negotiation process.
They are the ultimate experts in crisis negotiation. 40 years of experience on a daily basis.
Probably why UK has proven such an amateur and clumsy adversary in its Brexit negotiations and find itself where it is.
