  • Record spikes in new coronavirus cases, hospitalizations sweep parts of U.S.

    From reuters.com

New coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in record numbers swept through more U.S. states, including Florida and Texas, as most push ahead with reopening and President Donald Trump plans an indoor rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. video Alabama reported a record number of new cases for the fourth day in a row on Sunday. Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina all had record numbers of new cases in the past three days, according to a Reuters tally. But Noting from Reuters about the large numbers of people at protest marches. Apparently those "large gatherings" are perfectly acceptable both to NY Gov Andrew Cuomo and to Reuters.

"However, Governor Andrew Cuomo warned New York City and Long Island officials on Sunday that their reopenings were at risk if they do not stop further large public gatherings that he said are threatening progress on curbing the spread of the coronavirus"

But this is the same Andrew Cuomo who signed an executive order on March 25th which require nursing homes to take in residents who had been diagnosed with coronavirus. The result was mass spread of the virus and over 5600 deaths of nursing home residents.

Yup I agree Micc23. The legitimacy of the lockdowns ended when the BLM protests went ahead. If the virus was a big enough deal to stop businesses operating then the protests shouldn't have gone ahead as It smacks of inconsistency.

This is just ANOTHER example of the left-leaning liberal media using it's power for political purposes. These stories are an attempt to stop the economy from re-opening AND to shame Trump from having any political rally's. Hypocrisy at its finest.

This is Reuters. You start to sound desperate. Perhaps these facts should be suppressed so that Mr Trump's rallies can go ahead without people knowing about the risk of spread of the virus? Is that what you are asking for?
