Equity Markets up today. USD stronger.

Crazy when you think the DOW is currently at the same level as it was during start of Dec 19.

I said the same thing many months ago Covid was the ideal event to trigger the greatest transfer of wealth in history to the elites. Not just in USA but many other countries too.

Clearly, even the blind would spot a disconnect between the Street and the real economy. Before the Pandemic hit the world DOW etc. was trading a 10 year bull market with no meaningful pull backs. The valuations at that time already appeared a bit stretched. The Corona took out 40% which was probable an overreaction. But yet, here we are again approaching the before Corona-levels even before the world is normalized to any extend and unemployment is still 20M in the US and debt just going up and up.

No doubt the FED/ECB is driving this and as disconnected it seem to be I am not the one standing out in front of the train to stop it. But I admit it is damn hard for me to trade this because I am SO BEARISH on the economy but the indices are just sky rocketing. Its all one big scam that I have to live with.

And yes I realized too late that I should be long. I was looking too hard for a second leg down in the beginning. So had some tough days on the trading floor ((:

What odds we get a 2nd wave due to all the protests and another crash thus enabling more stimulous meausres to be voted through.

We already have Dr Fauci sayign 2nd wave is becoming more likely and Trump already saying they will be able to print more money.

Then makets reach all time high in time for Trump re-election

What amazes me is the strength of this comeback on a daily basis. Today, again, its up another 1%+. There aint nothing holding back this bull market that we entered ((:

Bloggers do not comprehend, real economy is much more powerful then any Central Bankers. CB's can only influence what occurs. They are not and can not be a replacement for what real people which is the market, do in their economic Lives.

US is recovering and moving on. There are some States which mostly due to Politics are keeping themselves in a cocoon. The rest of the States are moving forward and lifting restrictions which are now only voluntarily being followed.

Certainly the Police so much vilified by Press are not going to enforce any State imposed mandates upon civilians. Citizenry will be taking off the masks and using them only when asked to by store policy when out shopping.
Business re-openings for office still being supplanted by delaying return until September. In the meanwhile working from Home is valid.

US is adapting and recovering.

add:I can offer from personal experience how a company like UPS is handling things. Having purchased items originating on West Coast to be delivered to East Coast. They were getting shipped to Illinois where they stayed for days before shipping forward. Now newer ordered packages are running cross country to Transfer points which bypass Illinois.

Adapt and overcome getting implemented as Business policy.

I will add one more observation that I think is going to influence markets.
While people have been home with much Time on their hands they get to look around and take a good look at where they live.
Globalization has been crammed down their throats full time for many years.
So now these same people realize how much their own communities have borne in economic damage as consequence. There is going to be an accounting coming for the past policies of Government.

You are quite wrong on this. The Globalists have attempted to turn economic markets into a monetary form of Soylent Green. One Big Green slime pit with an elite that thinks they have ability to decide for everyone on earth How to Live.
This is not going to happen.

In US for starters, people do not blame those who peacefully protest what was a tragedy that occurred. But as time moves along the narrative that there is no Blame to be placed currently being concocted by the Elite is going to get questioned. There are so many unemployed with no place to turn, with government handouts failing to keep them in their presumed place of societies economic caste system.

The Blame is going to get transferred to those who did create this situation. The Globalists and their puppet elites in Government.
Globalism as an economic system is failing and there is no bringing back to Life a Failed system.
What will re-emerge is the Nation State as that form of Nation is the only tried and True way of governing that is capable of responding to the needs of the citizen.
