DislikedRun FFcal.EXE, press Esc and then F9. Are the news events showing on this screen (see the first screenshot below)?
-- If not: then they haven't been downloaded from FF calendar, and the problem lies in the blue-boxed section of the second screenshot below. Please ensure that you have the same parameter settings as mine. This will download all news events for the current week (starting 3/29/2009).

DislikedHi. I don't seem to get any news plotted after the April 1 US crude oil inventories event. I looked at the F9 screen and the news events have been downloaded from FXFactory and there is nothing strange looking about the data for the last event that was plotted. So nothing obvious for me to go in to correct on that news events data line.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue.
Thanks,
PippiLongIgnored

DislikedHanover, Am in a hurry to get to work, so apologize if this is out of order, but have now bought my little netbook with the SIM card in hope of starting to practice trading again after being stopped since arriveal in NY Nov. 3. The problem is that the window for Build News.CSV from FF calendar is too big for my 10" screen and am unable to click the button at the bottom of the window to make the FF_cal program download the data. All efforts to get the button on the screen have failed. Have tried right-clicking something at upper left that says "size"...Ignored
DislikedSorry, Bruce, I don't have a solution, apart from possibly changing your screen resolution (right click on your wallpaper, select Properties, and then the Settings tab).
In the next version, I'll enable a function key (e.g. F10) that, if pressed, performs the same function as clicking the OK button. The ENTER key is currently supposed to do this, but I can't seem to get it to work consistently.Ignored
DislikedDear hanover,
Update has just come out, but I have to report a problem.
I don't know whether this problem is already known.
I just found that MT4 has a critical problem.
If the size of object name has been over 64 bytes,
buffer overflow has occured and memory has been broken.
So some news events has not been displayed correctly.
For example,
2009.04.29 04:01;1;143;1;ALL;111110000;04:01 GBP L "BOE Financial Stability Report <"Tentative">" 14443;[Wed 13:01]

DislikedThis fixes the bug described by Micky two posts back. Descriptions output to News.CSV are now truncated at 40 characters. This means that the largest possible object name will be 13 + 40 + 8 = 61 bytes.
Download from post #1 in the usual manner.Ignored
DislikedHi David,
I'm getting a problem attempting to load the current calendar info (have loaded the archive from 2006-Jan2009 ok). It's looking for calend~1.php (which is the first line of FFCal.INI) and shows this pop-up for each week for which data is missing (ie. since end Jan09).
Am I being totally stupid or what?
Note my MT4 is in C:Tools rather than Crogram Files.
Cheers,
DavidIgnored
