Hi everyone, I’m CogAlpha!


I’ve been trading for nearly 10 years now, gaining tons of experience along the way. I can proudly say that I’ve been consistently profitable for several years.
Am I a millionaire sipping coffee with Elon Musk? Nope. (phew, lucky me.)
I’m just a regular trader making good money in the markets. I still keep a side job—why? Because I value consistency. Some months might not hit my ideal profit target, and that’s just part of trading. You win some, you lose some. I "eliminate" the losing part by maintaining additional income. If trading brings in big profits? Great—more money to compound!
Why I’m Here
When I’m not trading, working, or spending time with my wife, I enjoy coding on TradingView. I build scripts to make my trading life easier, getting an entry alert and spending just a minute to decide on a trade is way better than staring at charts all day.
Here, I’ll be sharing some of my work—indicators, tools, and charting scripts that help traders streamline their workflow. Most of what I post won’t be published right away since I refine my tools extensively before releasing them.
How You Can Get Involved
If you have ideas for scripts or want improvements on existing ones, feel free to ask! But keep in mind:

1. TradingView has strict rules. If I modify an existing script, it needs to be a significant improvement to avoid being blocked.
2. I prioritize useful tools. If I don’t see the value in a script, I won’t work on it. Convince me why it’s beneficial for both you and other traders, and I’ll consider adding it to my schedule.

Through the WeatherForecaster we can gauge the following:

Trend:
Breakout points:
and whether the Market is Ranging:

[UST] Protein+
Gives us the needed Areas of Interest. Aka Support/Resistance Levels.

The Subwindow Script ASI [soon coming out], shows us a bearish Squeeze release (Big Green Bar)
And gives us the Information that we are currently in a "Light Squeeze"
Light Squeezes happen in a strong Trending Market, usually followed by big Bar following.

Now with that Analysis done. I do my basic Price Action analysis. I personally enjoy using Elliot Waves. I use the Basics. I dont hard follow the Rules. I just do basic Wave counting to confirm my direction and end Target.


Keep in mind, these are just analysis I do Pre-Market open. Monday or any of the following days might change this analysis.
As a Trader its important to be flexible.

GBP/USD

Shorts are getting interesting on GBP/USD as we are slowly reaching the "limit" of the Weekly Range.
Be cautious though. The Weatherforecaster is still showing a Sunny GU for the Day.

Overview
The Adaptive Squeeze Intensity (ASI) indicator is an advanced technical analysis tool that combines the power of volatility compression analysis with momentum, volume, and trend confirmation to identify high-probability trading opportunities. It quantifies the degree of price compression using a sophisticated scoring system and provides clear entry signals for both long and short positions.

Components

1. Squeeze Intensity Score (0-100)
The indicator calculates a total squeeze intensity score based on four components:
- Band Convergence (0-40 points): Measures the relationship between Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels
- Price Position (0-20 points): Evaluates price location relative to the base channels
- Volume Intensity (0-20 points): Analyzes volume patterns and thresholds
- Momentum (0-20 points): Assesses price momentum and direction

2. Compression Zones
Visual representation of squeeze intensity levels:
- Extreme Squeeze (80-100): Red zone
- Strong Squeeze (60-80): Orange zone
- Moderate Squeeze (40-60): Yellow zone
- Light Squeeze (20-40): Green zone
- No Squeeze (0-20): Base zone

3. Entry Signals
The indicator generates entry signals based on:
- Squeeze release confirmation
- Momentum direction
- Candlestick pattern confirmation
- Optional EMA trend alignment
- Customizable EMA proximity validation

Settings

Main Settings
- Base Length: Determines the calculation period for main indicators
- BB Multiplier: Sets the Bollinger Bands deviation multiplier
- Keltner Channel Multipliers: Three separate multipliers for different compression zones

Trend Confirmation
- Four customizable EMA periods (default: 21, 34, 55, 89)
- Optional trend requirement for entry signals
- Adjustable EMA proximity threshold

Volume Analysis
- Customizable volume MA length
- Adjustable volume threshold for signal confirmation
- Option to enable/disable volume analysis

Visualization
- Customizable bullish/bearish colors
- Optional intensity zones display
- Status monitor with real-time score and state information
- Clear entry arrows and background highlights
Trading Signals

Long Entry Conditions
- Squeeze release detected
- Positive momentum
- Bullish candlestick
- Price above relevant EMAs (if enabled)
- Within EMA proximity threshold (if enabled)
- Sufficient volume confirmation (if enabled)

Short Entry Conditions
- Squeeze release detected
- Negative momentum
- Bearish candlestick
- Price below relevant EMAs (if enabled)
- Within EMA proximity threshold (if enabled)
- Sufficient volume confirmation (if enabled)

Alert Conditions
- Extreme squeeze level reached (score crosses above 80)
- Long squeeze release signal
- Short squeeze release signal

Tips for Usage
1. Use the status monitor to track real-time squeeze intensity and state
2. Pay attention to the color gradient for trend direction and strength
3. Consider using multiple timeframes for confirmation
4. Adjust EMA and proximity settings based on your trading style
5. Use volume analysis for additional confirmation in liquid markets

Wasting My Time, But Here We Go...

I can't believe I'm even dedicating time to this, but after reading such a monumental display of misinformation in a single post, I suppose I should set the record straight.

Perhaps Bionics should focus on actual trading instead of composing a thesis-length accusation about me. I'm really not that special, but since you insist...

On Publishing Indicators on TradingView:


WRONG. You can absolutely publish TradingView scripts without exposing your precious code. TradingView allows you to lock your code, similar to sharing only the .ex4 file on MT4. Maybe spend more than 30 seconds researching a platform before making false claims about it?

On "Stealing" Ideas:

Most traders today use TradingView for charting. I do too. I'm simply giving traders the option to use publicly shared, free systems on the platform they prefer. TradingView's free users are limited to 2 indicators per chart, so I combine multiple indicators into one to make them more accessible.
There are countless coders on Forex Factory improving MT4 codes DAILY. Why am I singled out just because I do the same thing for TradingView? Is TradingView some kind of illegal ghetto I wasn't aware of?

On My Supposed Get-Rich-Quick Scheme:


Am I? Did Bionics consult a fortune teller or misinterpret a message from a fortune cookie about my future business plans?

On Legal Accusations:


Your claim that I violated Section 106 of the German Civil Code is completely baseless - that section doesn't even address copyright but pertains to obligations arising from property ownership. Maybe check your legal references before threatening people with imprisonment?

Regarding TradingView's Rules:


Exactly! And TradingView reviews each script before publication. They would remove my work if it violated their rules. Shocking concept, I know.

On Supposedly Copying Others:

Look... now I'm apparently stealing scripts from people I don't even know and indicators I've never seen... wtf is this? lol

On German Digital Surveillance:

On Selling Stolen Indicators:


Again... not selling anything. Besides that, you can go on the official MQL4 website and find at least 200 EAs for sale that are derived from systems posted here or elsewhere... they're still alive and kicking.

On Community Benefit:

So me posting improved scripts on TradingView for free with alerts, good visuals, etc. doesn't benefit the community?

On the Bionic Candle Situation:

No Copyright Infringement Occurred
Copyright law protects the specific expression of an idea (like exact source code), not general concepts, methodologies, or trading strategies. The claim that I committed copyright infringement by implementing an idea that was publicly described is fundamentally flawed.
The Bionic Candle concept was openly discussed in videos and forums, making its logic accessible to anyone interested.
My implementation was created from scratch without access to the original source code, making it an independent work.
Reverse engineering based on publicly available explanations is perfectly legal under most jurisdictions, including German and U.S. law.

Besides that... since Bionics said he doesnt want it to be published (by writing me a whole bunch of laws instead of just saying "no")
I havent published the Script... which by the way... wouldnt hurt me whatsoever. I am the author of my script. My script has no similarity to your script.
As I dont even have the source code. Also what I would like to add here is.... that you in fact used an Indicator from someone else as foundation to make your Bionics Candle indicator. I dont know why you are yapping about creativity.. lol.
