The lower ellipse is drawn starting at the crosshair of the fork and stretching it out along the handle until the ellipse intersects both corners of the fork. Then, I create a duplicate ellipse and drag it along the median line (opposite direction) until its perimeter touches the perimeter of the lower ellipse. As you can see, price ran into resistance at the bottom of the duplicate ellipse.

VERY!!! Good food for thought. Thanks. Been thinking more about them since Auxesis had made some comments about their effectiveness in trading. Will have to spend some time on this.

The fib arcs on my charting software are not reliable due to scaling issues.

Kapital has an interesting concept, cross breed of forks ,murray and pyrapoint. My elliptical studies were in the opposite reflections of price action, either the reflection of the sine wave mapped by the fork, or in the reflection of a reversal point.

Most look for straight lines to capture price, but there's little in the way elliptical/circular studies... which if one could get a grasp on them , imho would put them ahead of the herd.

Okay Kapital,

Here is my first attempt. Not sure I did it exactly as you did. Also was not sure what time-frame you used. Started with the swing in pink that is also the price move from Pivot 2 to 3 of the fork. From that first ellipse, I placed the second one up the fork with the center on the ML and just touching the first. The center of that ellipse became an area where I drew the first vertical line and the first red line. Interesting on the second blue line we got a nice turn in TIME. Blue arrow shows an interesting fork and ellipse transition point.

The blue horizontal lines are the Fib Arc lines. I drew that in last. Pretty big arcs here as I was on an H4. Didn't plan the little design behind the scenes...the white areas...that just happened. Maybe somebody is trading around the negative space of a geometric design...just throwing that out there. .

What do you think? Not seeing too much from the elliptical view that is very consistent with price the way I have drawn them, but it does provide some food for thought.

Where did those indentations in your ellipses come from?

Also, I thought fib arc lines were circular?

By the way, I was using an hourly chart.

The indentations are actually areas of overlap as I placed their centers on the blue vertical lines or ML.

Yes, Fib arcs are circular. If I squeeze the chart in so you see more time, you would see that. Tried it but I lost some detail. Chart added below.

Okay. My hourly looked a little different. Might try it again later today.
