I'm trying to test a strategy using GBPUSD on an H4 timeframe. I followed the instructions in the FAQ post and downloaded the data from alpari. Then I converted it to H4 timeframe. I checked this under tools->history and it is correct.
But when I then try to run the strategy tester using the H4 data it does not appear to be H4 at all. I'm getting time stamps on my trades that do not fall on 4 hour marks. Maybe this is normal, but it surprises me. Am I doing something wrong?
I double checked that I followed all the instructions in the FAQ post. I hit the recalculate checkbox and made sure the timeframe for the test data was in the new data I'd just converted.
Here's an example of what I'm seeing. Shouldn't it only have trades on 4 hour timeframe (ie 00:00 and not 03:42?)
2 2005.02.22 03:42 buy 1 0.50 1.8984 1.8939 0.0000 0.00 10000.00
