Hi all I have been a member here for a very long time but very seldom post. Like many of you I have looked for the goose that lays the golden eggs .
I have found lots of potentially great methods over the years but for me for some reason it always comes back to breakout type of trading.
I have spent thousands of hours of screen time etc etc observing the markets. One day by coincidence I ran into a woman who had been a professional trader for
a major Canadian Bank. I asked her for her advice as far as what worked and what didnt. Her response was I “never looked at charts in my entire career I looked at previous days high and low and traded the breakout of price only." Only looking for small pips I think she said 5-10 pips was always the target. I could tell from the conversation she was not bullshitting me as she just knew way too much about the markets. She also said she limited her activities to only trading major pairs.
Its funny but the members on this site that I admire most seem to be break out traders. Not that other members methods are not profitable but over the long haul
it seems breakout trading works the best. Just my 2 pips worth))

Now I realize there are those that will flame me etc but to be honest I really don’t give a damn. I have earned every pip and paid my dues. I have been profitable since 2012 and have not had a losing sequence of trades in that period. Yes there have been some gut wrenching trades but knowing my method and having faith in i kept me focussed and committed.

I trade only two pairs and I only take one trade a week for each pair and I am done for the week. I now spend less than 30 mins a week
in front of my trading platform. And I only take 10 pip profits from each trade. As I was told by the trader I met by coincidence “you can win a baseball game hitting singles” ))

I posted in the Commercial Thread because at some point I may want to charge a fee for my method. My thousands of hours and thousands of dollars over the years let’s call
those TUITION ) No free lunches
