Star Trek fan spends $1.5 million to turn home theater into the USS Enterprise
It took more than $1.5 million, but financier Marc Bell turned science fiction into reality at his Boca Raton, Fla., home. Bell, managing partner of Marc Bell Capital, created a home theater in the image of the bridge on the USS Enterprise, the spaceship featured on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” a TV series that ran from 1987 to 1994. “Everything you see in the room is custom, down to the little architectural details,” says Bell, who is 48 years old.
