Hi guys,
First a small intro, I'm a recently initiated trader, moving into FX after a long career trading frontier market equities.
I use Technical Analysis (TA) primarily with a bit of fundamental analysis squeezed in here and there. Although, I keep an eye on the broad fundamental environment at all times.
I know that information on FX is available throughout the net quite freely and while many are credible and even useful I am a big believer in learning from books written by well known authors and reviewed by users to be useful.
I want to start a forum where the following can be discussed on a continual basis:
1) What are the top TA books that FX traders have found helpful and use it as a constant desk reference
2) What are the top FX resources used by retail professional traders (paid or free) - This includes news sites, data services, economic calendars etc etc
I really want to get a a deep grasp of technical analysis, I already know the basics quite (Support & resistance, RSI, MACD, Diveregence, Candlesticks) but am looking for a guide (preferably a book) that provides deep insight into the art of TA.
I look forward to hearing from you guys and hoping to keep this thread alive and well updated.
The questions this forum aims to address are by no means new, I have seen the same questions pop up on threads regularly but these threads quickly fade and the info contained therein becomes outdated.
Lets come together to sift through all the info available on FX to build a library that adds value to our trading.
