Which news services do you use?
I currently use Bloomberg Anywhere as my primary news service and Trade The News as my backup news services. Bloomberg costs $1,700 per month and it's faster than trade the news by about 1 to 2 seconds. Because I use Bloomberg, I usually get into all my trades before the spike happens, so I do very well. I know Bloomberg is very expensive, and I am currently negotiating with them to give all my subscribers a free 60-day trial. That way hopefully everybody will have a chance to try it, and get convinced that it's a very worthy business expense. Their website is www.bloomberg.com. I am also in the process of testing Reuters, which is a comparable service to Bloomberg, which costs $1,350 per month. By the way, I am not talking about TV service, I am talking about internet service, whatever you hear on TV is greatly delayed.
Trade The News is by far the best alternative I found to Bloomberg. This is both an audible and text service. You get the audio of the numbers approximately 1 to 2 seconds after Bloomberg, and text by about 5 to 10 seconds after. Their forex channel price is only $175 per month
Now, if you are very new to all this, and you don't want to spend any money on a news service, every forex broker provides a free news feed. Most of them are delayed for seconds, and some even for minutes. The fastest free news service that I personally used before, and I recommend is from www.oanda.com Just open a demo account with them, and once you login to your demo account, go to "Resources-Oanda FXnews". ThankYou Dmitri
