Warren Buffett, the octogenarian multibillionaire investor, is homing in on his biggest acquisition – a maker of aircraft parts and energy production equipment that is likely to cost his Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate more than $30bn (£19bn). Berkshire Hathaway is said to be close to an agreement to buy Precision Castparts Corp in Buffett’s latest foray into the industrial sector.
