would someone that knows please tell me what purpose of getting NFA designation would serve without corporate experience? i know that it is required to form a cta fund and whatever; but in practice, what do any of the rights mean?
is there nobody here that can answer this or is it just a bad question? will it be of any real value before i have secured employment in the industry (as an addition to the resume or whatever) or without the intention of forming a cta fund in the near future? thanks

This would not have any real value before you have secured employment in the industry.
If perhaps you were thinking of becoming a commodities broker, it would get you working faster (able to sell and generate comissions because you have already taken the exam and been registered).
As an addition to a resume, I wouldn't bother. If someone is interested in you for employment they will hire you and EXPECT you to pass it within 3 months as an afterthought.
