Italian Manufacturing output rises for first time in four months in January
January saw a return to growth in factory production after three months of contraction, with manufacturers also raising employment levels slightly. New expor t business rose during the month, though overall new order intakes were down. Price data meanwhile showed the fastest decrease in manufacturers’ output charges since May 2013, as well as a fall in average input costs for the first time in nine months.
