Easy way to toggle between different pairs?

Hi, is there any easy way to toggle between currency pairs on a single chart instead of draging the quote to the chart when you want to change pair? I want this so I can quickly scan through all the different pairs....

Did you try opening multiple charts?

You can have a dozen or so open charts on one window, multiple monitors with your trading station maximized over all monitors is another way to do it.

There is a not very well documented feature that by pressing enter on a MT4 chart, you get a text symbol name and timeframe in the lower left corner of said chart. You can change symbol name/timeframe simply by using the keyboard. Make sure to use the same case for symbols and suffixes as listed in your Market Watch (quote) window.

timeframes are as follows:

M1
M5
M15
M30
H1
H4
D1

To change the chart to EURUSD 5 minute:
EURUSD,M5

To change the chart to GBPJPY 4 hour chart:
GBPJPY,H4

How to change the symbol of chart windows by keyboard in MT4?for example,I open a chart window of a symbol, can I change the symbol of the chart window by keyboard upwards or downwards according to the market watch list.I mean when I press a certain key, the chart window will show the next symbol. Thanks!

You can toggle opened charts in metatrader by holding down CTRL & pressing Tab Key
or you can get a script to toggle charts in sequence every so many seconds.
It never gets easier, you just get better

This can be easily achieved with a simple script.

You can fetch all symbols available in the market watch window (or create a predefined list). The script can lookup what symbol is next up and there is a mql4 function which changes the chart to a symbol or tf specified. If you bind 2 different scripts to the up and down key you have what you desire.

Thank you, but CRTL+TAB does not work. Could you check it again?

Hold your cursor in the lower left of the chart where the time&date is, until it changes (mine gets a small box beside it saying "CHF,S").
Then click or doubleclick and you will get a textbox where you can write what pair & timeframe you want, in this form PAIR,TF ex EURUSD,H1.
It is important that you write the pair as it appears in your broker, some brokers have extentions to the names of the pairs like ecn or other things.
