Hi JP. Yes I was aware - I seem to recall Alien said about this early in thread, something to do with 21 being a Fibonacci number, but I may be mistaken?

I remember when i first heard Sir Alien mentioning that he prefers the BB settings to 21 i researched this and found out that he uses the Fibonacci numbers relations almost everywhere.

All his number theory were either divisible by 7 or were Fibonacci numbers.
When i saw how ADX 7, 21 (Fibonacci number) and 42 were divisible by 7 - i then checked and found that ADX 89 and 144 are Fibonacci numbers

In my conclusion i assumed that trend continuations are based on numbers divisible by 7 and trend collapse/long term trends are based on Fibonacci numbers

ADX having 5 speeds also aligns with the fact that number 5 is a Fibonacci number

in addition to your above thing, the adx 42 represents single wave and 7 is single wave withing wave 42....... the numbers matters here because of time frame distance in mt4 which is similar to distance of fib

I got in pretty much perfectly. Seen that happen and well about +40 pips so far.

Just tried my hands in modifying Emonts ADX dashboard with my very limited coding knowledge. Dashboard will display dodger blue and orange during flat bull or bear. Also modified the alert when adx 7 turns green and all other adx period are dodger blue and vise versa for red. Many thanks to the original creators Master Alien and Nihilist and thanks to Emonts and Ayan who gave the code for the dashboard.

Got this error message when I attached the indicator to a chart. Pls could you look into this and let me know the settings if any has to be changed. I used the default settings.

I don't see any issue. Anyway can you try the original indicator which is created by Emonts in post 16940.

JP, as a newer trader and noobie in the world of extraterrestrial visual systems I've been attempting to define some rules and guidelines for myself to follow when deciding to enter a position.

More in particular, specific entry rules when following the 5M and using the 15M, 1H and 4H RSIOMAs on the same chart.

For example, if the 15M, 1H and 4H have RSIOMAs below 50, 20 and 20 respectively, and the 5M RSIOMA crosses above, then below the 50 line with a BB squeeze and ADX moment, enter short.

Above is just an example of the setups I am trying to define and turn into more rule based trades for myself using this system.

As I quoted above, do you think trying to apply rules into a visual system such as this may be the wrong approach to learning to trade this system?

That's correct. Secret of the system is the MTF analysis and the aligment of the TFs. When you find an alien setup on H4 and the other TFs are aligned you enter on M5 or also M1 after a BBS and a relevant fanning of ADX.
