Disliked{quote} Hi Diallist, thank you for sharing your nifty template. I can see how the ASH M5 and M15 can really help with early exits on M30 TF trades. Just wondering if the ASH M5/15 help you with entries on M30 since the ASH M30 should already be showing all the info you need. Thanks as alwaysIgnored
I am still observing the interrelations between ASH on M5, M15, M30. I have some ideas starting to form in my mind, but nothing crystal yet.
So far my theoretical thoughts are that the ASH is an accumulator. M30 accumulates the changes in ASH on M15, and the M15 accumulates the changes in ASH on M5.
For example, if the ASH on M5 spends more time in the buy direction than the sell direction, then the net is in the buy direction. That will accumulate in the M15. If the M15 also spends more time in the buy direction than the sell direction, then that will be accumulated in the M30. That is what I meant when I said that lower time frame ASHes "roll up" into higher time frame ASHes. If that is true (still theoretical for me), then observing the behavior of M5 and M15 should give us an early warning that M30 is about to undergo a color change.
You asked about exits vs entries. To me, these are equal but opposite behaviors. If that is indeed true, the movements of the three ASHes should equally signal an entry or an exit.
All that I've said above is only speculation on my part at this point in time. I need to do a lot more observing to even begin to approach a useful conclusion. My best recommendation is for each person to observe the M5-M15-M30 ASH movements for themselves and see if they can come up with something useful.
If all this is just too confusing for some of you, then just use the M30 wavy ASH and enter on the color change.
