DislikedDone and added to post 1 in the mptm thread.
I have also made mptm adaptable to different digit quotes, so users are able to think in pips without having to multiply.

DislikedHi Rob
Can you please post your set file or the settings, pairs & timeframe. I get about 2 trades a week and yes the are winners BUT I'd like a little more trading.
Thanks for your helpIgnored
DislikedAs posted previously, 16 pairs, D1 TF. Settings attached, which are designed for my IBFX mini demo account(.1 starting lots = 10cents/pip). Starting balance: $4500.

DislikedThanks for the posting of the settings, I presume some settings which are missing are set at default. Such as trade direction finding (tdi True) & sq_steve direction finding module (true) & sixths input bar count 50, true.
Please confirm.

DislikedI'm trading with an "obsolete" version, which I believe is no longer available for download. It does not have a tdf module. All of the available settings are shown in the screen grabs.
I'm also currently testing the same version on a smaller IBFX demo, same pairs and TF, but at only .02 starting lots(1-cent pips, $788 balance). I started the demo last night and it has already posted 20 consecutive winning trades.

DislikedThanks for your prompt reply. It must be the case of additional filters of tdf and sixths, have resulted in less trades. It only stands to reason that to get the same function as the old EA is to set the above fields to FALSE. will try to see if can get more trades.

DislikedThis is correct. To trade as I originally envisaged the robot, turn both UseSqSteve and UseRsi to false.
You will see more trades. It will be up to you to decide whether this outweighs the value of the trend filters. The jury is still out on this.

DislikedHi Steve,
Fib retrace still doing nicely, now 34 trades without a major problem.
Attached is also a trace of the floating draw down against profit since the test started. This gives a better idea of what the bot is really doing when you are looking the other way IMHO.
If we can decide on a suitable 'death trade' routine to add to this bot, I think we have a strong contender here -
Earlier post is here with more details -

I shall start on it later.

DislikedHi Steve,
I've just been having a look through the FTLR code and I think I've found a bit of a problem. If you set the parameter 'UseSqSteve' to false, as suggested in your previous post, then the EA won't place any trades. Setting this to false stops the call to function 'GetTradeDirection()' which means that the trade direction is always set to 'none'.
The EA always checks to see if the direction is either 'up' or 'down' before placing any trades.
Hope this makes sense.

DislikedI wonder if this is why my IBFX demo only has old ticks and no trades opened. Although ChicagoRob seems to have it working. I've tried everything I know and suggestions posted on this thread to try to resolve the old tick error, but so far no success.Ignored
