DislikedSomething weird happened today....
On returning from work I noticed one of my 4 open positions was closed for absolutely no reason. It was opened long at 1.25589 on 4th July with no s/l or t/p. The other 3 are still running fine from 1.2519 through 1.2555 areas.
Yes, it has produced a nice profit so far but I had no intention of closing it yet & I've been out at work all day so it's just closed by itself at 1.2914!!!
The broker is 'looking into it' for me and a ticket raised with the audit department but its a little disconcerting to...Ignored
DislikedI never had a broker close a trade that didn't have a SL or TP. Could their software have a bug? Or maybe they had to scramble to fill an order. That all seems far fetched. When they get back to you, can you post their explanation, Steve? Thanks.Ignored
DislikedI have had a SL completely missed..... And I mean missed, price zig zaged through it about a half dozen times. I called my broker and they looked into it and fixed everything to what should have been...... nice thing..... it was in my favor.Ignored
Disliked...currently over 30% up on these 4 positions, once they re-instate the one they closed for no reason lol.Ignored

It could well be some kind of software bug as my broker ODL have recently been taken over by FXCM and they would prefer clients to move from MT4 to their own platform.
I'd rather stay on MT4 as I can still hedge, which I do on rare occasions for a day or two when for eaxmple we get a close above the sma but not the ema.

DislikedHi Stevie
Just so's you feel easier - you can hedge on Tradestation II (FXCM's own platform).Ignored
DislikedHey Stevie
You could contact Jason Rogers, the FXCM rep on FF, to discuss your trade problem.
FXCM wiped out my account a few months back with a spike in A/U to over $2.00 (can't remember the exact figure). I had to fill in some kind of audit form online and everything was reinstated later on that evening (from memory).
Good luckIgnored
DislikedWouldn't it be funny if one day they made a mistake on their part and you woke up to find one of your trades were making a $1 million? LOLIgnored
