Hi everybody,
Perhaps somebody can enlight me about the Week End and Weekly open FX quotes.
All traders already know that FX open hours are from Monday Sydney time to Friday New York Close.
However FX market even if sayed to be opened 5/7 is opened 7/7. During Week Ends still exists a quote but because it’s bank & bokers day off, there is a lack of liquidity, an increase of spreads that way discouraging traders to enter the market.
Some brokers eg OANDA ( could be perhaps others ) still stream live FX quotes.
We can see today that from the very early opening Monday Apr 12 there was a rise on EU pair. (09H15 PM GMT Apr 11 2010) Questions: If the quote mouves, there are “Biders” and “Askers”. Who are they ? Is there any submarine institution? Week end banks? Does this come from the Reuter RTFX feed? Currunex feed ?
Does early weekly opens could be tracked by other means than MT4 brokers? Any MT4, ECN doing that on Week Ends ? before 10H00 PM GMT ?
Any tutorial links?
Thanks very much for your feed back.
