DislikedNo they don't. On your standard highway, its just 3 lanes in each direction, even in tokyo, and its only bumper-to-bumper in the early mornings and evenings. And the tokyo area has a population of 35 million. However the problem in Japan is not a lack of money for cars, but a lack of space.Ignored
DislikedYour points have nothing to do with lack of parking spaces, you dont even address the problem. You dont get it. When you buy a car you have to park it somewhere. You can repeat subways, highways, etc. a thousand times but you have never addressed the real problem and that is lack of parking. This country is trying to go from a non automotive to a automotive culture.Ignored
DislikedBob,
Even if you are right (but you are not) about the lack of parking space, the PRC has overtaken the USA as the world's largest market for motor-vehicles.
I realize that you will come back with the per capita thing but hey!
Like I said, the PRC is into public transport - High Speed Rail and subways.Ignored
DislikedAlso, read this article. I can attest to hundreds of buildings and 10's of thousands of apartments empty all over China. This is a good read and possible warning of what may happen to China in the next year or two.

DislikedUkrainian land is defenately something to consider. They have around 60% of the most fertile soil in the world (chernozem) and the land is by far the cheapest in europe.
You can't buy land there at the moment however you can lease it. And you can pass the land over to Euro Farms to cultivate and harvest the land for you, you pay a small cultivation fee and then recieve 30% of the profits each year.
The real appreciation however would be in selling the lease when its producing heavy amounts of crop.
If there aren't any crazy reigime changes...Ignored
