Dislikedyup! no sense chasing trades guys. the real goal should be protecting your account balance. so if you start and end the day with the same amount you've had a great and successful day!Ignored
Dislikedyou know markam,
i used to have a system that was pretty good at predicting market exhaustion. the problem was that when it got it wrong - it got it really wrong! prediction i have found is a futile pursuit - maybe thats just me.
Anyhow - i don't want to make this thread too dirty. make sure you keep hard "disaster" stops at all times... just my 2 cents.Ignored
DislikedI agree with that but keep in mind also,as we mentioned several times before, that the sma's are moving as long as the price moving.
This weekly 5sma (234.65) that I have on my platform will change and go higher as long as the price moves higher.
So,it's better to say 234.70 area and we all be happy

DislikedIt is futile to predict the market. I am working with a world view that extends at least over the next 20 years, and I believe that I have a pretty good idea how things will play out. The stock market, and to a very large extent the currency market, operates with absolutely no long term view. Things can go from the an end of the world view to top of the world view in literally 1 day, with absolutely no real basis for either view.
Participants in the stock market are simply a herd of cattle, running in whichever direction the lead bull takes them.Ignored
DislikedThe DOW is sweating to go through his resistance @ 13207.
By the way , i found it by using Ichimoku tech, the 'kijun' line is there, and is working as a resistance.
ps: i can't post picture of it cause of the bad quality of them , but if someone got a sweet program to make them clearer just send me a PM otherwise... get lostIgnored
Dislikedthe reason I asked the question was that Aus had his TP set at a weekly 5sma @235.....this didn't agree with my weekly 5sma.Ignored
DislikedMarkam,FWIW I did the same thing and lost my pants today(the price I paid for holding onto my shorts! lol). My shirt was gone last week. PippoIgnored

DislikedBecause Aus is not trading the Dow, he is trading GBP/JPY. There is correlation between the two a lot of the time but when Aus's system signals a trade it doesn't matter where Dow is. Dow is a confirming factor, not a determining factor in his trades. Hope this helps.

DislikedAnd I am kind of tall and a bit thick around the middle. Now we know what each other looks like. What's all this have to do with trading?

Dislikedare we due for a 60M retrace? it's the only momentum pointing a bit down right now, or would it need to point down more than that?Ignored
