Hi guys, especially the pro coders here.
I have absolutely zero knowledge in coding and hence, please forgive me for the following seemingly dumb questions from a non-coder like myself.
1. Can such a trend filter be coded in an EA???
The EA to check the following 12 Moving Averages (MA) for valid buy or sell signals:
Simple MA (SMA)
5 SMA
10 SMA
20 SMA
50 SMA
100 SMA
200 SMA
Exponential MA (EMA)
5 EMA
10 EMA
20 EMA
50 EMA
100 EMA
200 EMA
Valid BUY Signal - the current price must be higher than at least 8 out of the 12 MA. The user must be able to preset for the current price to be higher than at least 8, or 9 or 10 or 11 or ALL 12 of the MA.
Valid SELL Signal - the current price must be lower than at least 8 out of the 12 MA. The user must be able to preset for the current price to be lower than at least 8, or 9 or 10 or 11 or ALL 12 of the MA.
CAN THE ABOVE BE CODED???
2. Again, can such a trend filter be coded in an EA???
The EA to check for the following 3 Exponential Moving Averages to confirm whether its a buy or sell signal:
10 EMA
20 EMA
30 EMA
Valid Buy Signal - 10 EMA must be above the 20 EMA which must be above the 30 EMA - it must be in that sequence ie 10-20-30 and in addition, there must be a user definable minimum distance (in pips) between the MAs, for example, the user preset minimum 30 pips between the MAs - then the 10 EMA must be at least 30 pips above the 20 EMA which in turn must be at least 30 pips above the 30 EMA.
Valid Sell Signal - the opposite of above, namely, 10 EMA must be lower than the 20 EMA which in turn must be lower than the 30 EMA - it must be in that sequence ie 30-20-10 theremust be a user definable minimum distance (in pips) between the MAs, for example, the user preset minimum 30 pips between the MAs - then the 10 EMA must be at least 30 pips lower than the 20 EMA which in turn must be at least 30 pips below the 30 EMA.
Can the above be coded in an EA???
Looking forward for some feedbacks from the pro coders.
Cheers guys!
