If you want to find range then look upon different periods graph....once you know whats going on in different time frame you can know about the exact range.

DislikedI recommend doing some reading and research on the work of Wyckoff. He has some good suggestions for recognizing when price is in a range (accumulating or distributing) and when it is moving impulsively (trending). They usually tend to follow one, after the other, and it is this trend move, followed by a range, that forms a market cycle. As for how long price will remain in a range, and exactly when it will stop ranging and start to breakout, that requires being able to measure the cycle length, or if you can believe Elliott, measure the number...Ignored
