All MAs are lowpass filters. Correct. They are extremely poor lowpass filters because they leak and their stopband attenuation is poor. If you look at the frequency response of a moving average and a 2-pole Butterworth IIR lowpass filter, you can ...

image The second most strongly felt gravity line (dark blue) is now at .9106 so yes I can see that. The Fib 161.8 extension level is just a bit above that. Just above that is another gravity line that can be seen intermittently in the dark blue ...

Yeah we have divergence stacked upon divergence. I don't understand why so many are bullish now, but that usually happens at a top anyway Regarding that ascending Red Channel that caused today's rise, you can see that it probably has hit the top ...

Well so the ascending Red Channel has done its work and the price is back up. I believe that the effects of this channel are waning and the bulls are done. Hopefully, we can get the down move now so I can exit a winner. image

image The main concern I see is the upcoming ascending Red Channel. Hopefully that fizzles, and then maybe things can start back down. But the dominant gravity level (Blue) has pulled the price back down a bit from its overbought level, and there ...

Still short, riding out retracement. I read the recent upmove as unlikely to continue. I disbelieve the optimism of the recent reports. Moved PT to .8910 in case that solid level doesn't get broken. image image

Recent high volatility as expected. Prices rose higher than expected, but stayed within containable bounds. Confidence in remaining short was confirmed when I saw the price bounce off the strongest-felt gravity source on the daily chart (Blue) ...

This chart has been rescaled to show more of the area above and below the current price range. Notice how there is an approaching descending Red Channel, and also an approaching ascending Red Channel. It appears that these will encounter the price ...

M5 Encounter with descending Red Channel caused market to break downwards. Midlines (Pink/Violet) show slight down slope, so this may be the onset of the down move. image M15 Approaching descending Red Channel indicates more down energy ...

Continuing holding short positions and there are now several signs that the up move is over. Gravity levels present significant resistance @ 8985 thru 9000 so I am expecting the market to bounce down. There are also several repeated patterns within ...

I have been short for over a week and have added new positions during the recent rise. I do not believe that .9000 will get hit until after the pair falls to .8890 image

CCIDER is my own creation. The idea behind it is very simple. I use the exact CCI formula, except that I remove the Moving Average function and replace that part with an equivalent Lowpass Filter. This results in much better noise rejection and ...
