Great post FX — WOW what a fantastic post! Thank you so much. I recognise the failings in my own trades from what you say. I will try to be less trigger happy in future, look out for the brackets and try to forget the continuation signals. I ...

End of day charts — Thanks for your chart Paul. I really enjoy your (and fxA's) end of day charts. One day I hope to post my own :-) Cheers!

Liquidity? — Is it possible that as there is a lot of USD news all day long AND speeches AND it's a Friday, that the 'big money' has taken a long weekend? My thinking is that when there is little liquidity (mass) in the market, it tends to get ...

Thanks FXA, I posted that before the high of that particular retrace had been broken. I was out already (damn it) and looking to the downside. I was mistaken but the push up looked like it was running out of steam to me. I am new and still have a ...

Thanks, just want to check that I'm picking them correctly. Currently long though. But I think my FCR for short still stands. Maybe later?

New FCR? — Is there now a FCR at 14540? Would anyone go short on a break below this level? Cheers, John.

A big thread... — Hi Fxachilies, I have read the first 88 pages (well over 1000 posts) and understand the 123 trade setup explained. Skipping to the end I see that you are talking about fractals and #1 and #2 type trades. Could you please let ...

Renko confusion — Maybe some of you are under the illusion that the wicks have something to do with brick formation. They do not! The bricks are formed (or not) by the single closing price of the candle (i.e. M1, M2, M5 or whatever) at the ...

Today was a bank holiday here in the UK. Maybe that had something to do with it.

The bricks are formed from the close price of the candle data. It is quite possible to have other candles after a brick is formed that have a high or low value above/below the renko brick and hence the wicks. If it is coded properly there is no need ...

asdf - good advice — I agree with asdf. Renko is it's own indicator. Also IMHO asdf's posts belong here. Cheers, John.

Edge is gone — I see that Twee has band Edge - thank god! You can see Twee's comments on the C4 thread. I only hope that any alias he was using (if any) will stay away as well. This is a lesson to me that no one is to be trusted on this kind ...

You can use it on your C4 charts to show what is happening with Renko over the same period. Useful for detecting the trend, support and resistance and pull backs etc. It is a visual tool to help open trades in the right direction - or that was the ...

Are you putting the Renko overlay on top of your 'normal' Renko here? i.e. The Renko overlay is using the Renko as input.
- johny pip replied Aug 29, 2009
Renko overlay — Hi Chris, I'm glad that you are looking at this - not a bad idea of mine - even if I say so myself . Thanks a lot Justme for coding it for MT4 - it's looking good Don't forget that this indi will use the same time frame ...

Very nice — I'm guessing the box doesn't draw sometimes because the price moves more than one box in one candle. I had the same problem with my one for the IT charts. What I did is use a while loop so that it draws one box at a time until the ...
