Thanks Ron, but MT4 is still not doing what it should be doing. I have changed the part as follow: ... }else if (OrderSelect(BuyTicket,SELECT_BY_TICKET,MODE_TRADES) == FALSE && Ask-Bid <= SpreadPoints){ BuyTicket = ...

This is what I actually got: if (BuyTicket!=0){ OrderSelect(BuyTicket,SELECT_BY_TICKET); if (OrderOpenTime()!=0){ //if buy pending order became open order OrderModify(BuyTicket,OrderOpenPrice(),NewPrice,0,0,Red); }else{ OrderDelete(BuyTicket); ...

I have a question about renko. I am not sure whether anyone here has discussed it before, but I think some discussion is needed for this issue. The issue is Renko can be subjective. We can have slightly different visual depending on the starting ...

Oanda could still work due to lower spread, but I still prefer ECN. And you may be right about the MQL programming. Just looked at the release notes: seems like MT4 from MBT handles trade in a slightly different way. url

Buying/selling inside the spread means buying/selling with the best bid/ask, which essentially means the trades will be filled, since they are the best price available. Best price gets filled, that is the hallmark of ECN. My trades need to be filled ...

I need an ECN because I need to be able to buy/sell inside the spread. Fix spread dealers are not dependable when they spike up the spread as high as 40pips. I can tell you that I have only tested it once. You have to see it to believe it. It is not ...

Everything you have said can be concluded in one sentence: "You can trade profitably by depending on stats alone" which I have already refuted. More so, your paradigm cannot explain consistency. The market is not irrational all the time. The point ...

That's a funny question. I dare anyone here to do this: Go to an UFO club and check how many of them claim to have seen UFO before. If you get my point, then it's good. If you don't, doesn't matter then. Anyway, I do not think you need any 'edge'. ...

Thanks. It works now. Previously MT had a bug that kept crashing it. Btw, whenever I change the parameters, the changes are not reflected in the chart.

Hi Leon, I think you are probably one of the most active posters here on FF for the moment. It seems to me that you are very eager to accomplish as a successful trader. I seldom post, but I think I may just share some observations which may be ...

It will never work because of the reward:risk spectrum. The probability of hitting a TP with R:R 10:1 is already low enough, moreover you want TP like this to occur seven times in a row.

Hedging is not allowed in a single account but you can have opposite trades in two different accounts. The current model adopted by Oanda will survive. I bet the others will simply allow the customers to have more than one accounts anyway. Regarding ...

Agreed. However there may be some truth in this axiom 'Buy low sell high'. It involves a paradigm shift and I am testing it now. So far it looks good this week, but it is too soon to tell. I pretty much agree with your 'let the winners run' concept. ...
