How does one determine the direction of positive interest rollover? Thanks

Thank you for your patience answering these questions. I think I have everything I need to start demotrading this strategy. Only one thing confuses me. You write, "I can make a profit with two pips at my broker." Does that mean you only have a one ...

I am talking about daily charts. My 200ema is different from everyone else I know and we all have the same settings. I backtest quite a bit on this computer and wonder if this has anything to do with it. Anyone else have this problem?

Minute, Thanks for the help. No solutions yet. It might have something to do with how many bars back the 200ema is reading. Perhaps it is reading a different number of bars than other setups.

I understand that the MA will look different in different time frames. What I meant was that when I went to a shorter time frame, then came back to the daily, the MA on the daily shifted. I've called several friends to check what their 200ema value ...

Thanks for the feedback. It is hard to describe but the entire 200ema line has shifted. One day, the line is at one level and the next, the whole line has shifted 15-20 pips. I've seen this several times while backtesting. Does anyone know what ...

How can you tell how many bars back the MA is reading? Is there a setting for that? Thanks for the info.

I have the same question. Was it ever answered for you?

sidus system — I'm not sure you can backtest a system like this. When you look back over the charts, you'll see several crosses that appear to be entry and exit points. These crosses followed through to some degree and usually produce winning ...

Ea — I've got the EA showing on upper right hand corner of chart. There is nothing else on the chart. No MACD's, and no entry/exit signals. How would I backtest?

backtest — How would I backtest this system? What would I need on my charts.

manual trading — How would one trade this manually? What would I need on my charts? Thank you

Test Question — Thank you for posting the test results. The results show a 76% winning percentage. That seems incredibly high considering a 34 pip SL. Exit could either be at next fib line or stop out at -34 pips. Normally you'd have to go ...

What kind of stop/loss did you use for this test. Thanks for doing the work.

Mr. Whipple, Do you know what time zone the data is translated? EST?

Got it. Thanks for your patience. Very much appreciated. Zach

Since the alpari data bank have only 1 day and 1 minute data, I assume I'll need to use the normal EUR/USD chart for the 1 hr data and the offline EUR/USD chart for the 1 minute. These two charts will match up?
- Zach replied May 13, 2006
Thanks again. I went through the steps and I think I have everything loaded. One problem. The offline EUR/USD chart will only access 1 minute data. It won't change to 1hr. as the period tabs are greyed out. To test my system properly, I need to ...
- Zach replied May 11, 2006
Thanks. I'll try that. It appears, however, that the 1H data is accurate and the 1M is a few hours off. I can see where to delete the data from MT4 but I can't find the period converter. Can't believe it is so hard to find reliable data (1M) back 1 ...
- Zach replied May 10, 2006
Thanks for the info. I have already downloaded this data and imported it into MT4. The data isn't very good however. There are many periods of time where a one hour candle doesn't come close to the corressponding one minute candle. Many times the 1 ...
