You might be getting that CHFJPY sell that you were looking for earlier coming up at the top of the hour.... (14:00GMT). I personally don't trade that pair, so take my view with a grain of salt. Lower ADR is ~116.06 so that would be good 1st target ...

I rarely comment on FF threads, but I just wanted to let you know that you kept me very entertained throughout my trading "day" which is in the middle of the night for me. Although our trading styles are 180 degrees apart, it doesn't mean I can't ...

That's why a large ADR is such a valuable tool with any tradeable instrument. It allows for price to show its hand (momentum), and still have ample room to book 30-40% of the Daily Range.

Good stuff. Those currently are my two favorite pairs due to their 100p+/day ADR. When I first started my journey with FX, even the EU would clock 150p/day! Very easy day trading environment.

I'm with you BW! I've actually hardcoded the SL as a %ofADR into my Trade Manager. Money management should be at the top of every trade plan.

I'll attempt to answer your question, hopefully you will show me the same respect and answer my original question. The reason I push for that info is that so much misinformation is regurgitated over and over until it is embraced as fact and is quite ...

Interesting. I would appreciate it if you would post your source(s) that you used for that information. I've been trading FX full time for much longer than 5yrs and since you stated that 100% lose after that timeframe I would like to correct your ...

Exactly JT. I choose to use my proprietary alerts because I have neither the desire nor the ability to actively monitor 4-6pairs (based upon volatility/ADR) over an extended period of time waiting for an entry opportunity. Actually what I consider ...

Sorry @Daniel, this will be my last response to R4me, but he certainly likes to get on his soapbox to point out what is wrong with others while embracing those exact qualities that he projects. Of course delete this if needed. I won't be "offended." ...

I'm happy your coding skills are better than your ability to debate. The original quote was your reply to tiborf71 not to @Daniel2775. C'mon, try to keep up. Unlike you, I have the mindset of a male in that I don't allow emotions to rule me but use ...

Maybe because he doesn’t need some virtue signaling stranger(s) to help him define the degree of help he should provide and whether it meets their expectations.

Wow. I've been nothing but respectful to you and the thread. I don't need acknowledgement as you can see I very rarely post just because of situations like this. What I was referring to about previous posts was the screenshots already posted on this ...

Just take a look at my previous posts on this thread. I can't comment on if they are "better->pips" than the indi. It is not just yesterday high/low but also pivots. Whichever comes first.

I've offered this simple profit taking solution multiple times before...I was in the same trade as you.

And there ya go! Another PP hit...I did not hold for that PP as ADR was already overextended and it being Friday, but as you can see it would certainly be easy to use them as part of your MM strategy to take all subjectivity out of the post-entry. ...

I use an alert that I had coded for me. I don't know if would put a name on the type of entry ( I use 15/30m for entries), as depending on price action it can be a breakout in small range or a 1-2-3 top/bottom in more volatile markets. But as I've ...

Here is two examples of a couple of trades I took today and how I manage profit taking on a daily basis using the aforementioned target areas. My entries are not as sexy as picking the tops/bottoms and 100's of pips, but serves my purpose as I ...

Agree Robot, but I also found that the more I get involved with managing a trade outside my pre-defined rules, the more profit I usually left on the table. You know, the old "fear & greed paradigm"....

Pivot Points can be very useful for profit taking. Since they are a nice general area of interest to the big $, you could always take partial profit at the 1st PP to lock in some money, move the remainder to BE(ish), and allow the position to play ...

A little input. The EA probably doesn't fail, but more likely the money management is not accommodating the market conditions. For instance, just look at the ADRs at the moment. Besides the GBPNZD, everything is <100p/day. This indicates that the ...
