I'm a bit weary of assuming that this is entering a bullish trend. The housing data could be less than expected and could immediately force this down to the 119.20 support area. I will jump in after the fact and follow the trend on Tuesday.

Why do I feel that this downward pressure maybe caused by poor U.S. data plus the rising tension in both the middle east and in the Ukraine. Then again it's forex, it could be as benign as someone farting in the wrong direction or a case of fat ...

This is the yen we're talking about here, it does not follow the conventional rules of the forex market when paired against the usd, I dont know about other pairs.

Yes, there is a political and economic motive, Saudi Arabia wants to bankrupt as many shale producers in north america as possible while the US is just either encouraging and or tolerating them to frustrate and cripple Russia's economy.
